OM 601/602/603 Head coolant port drilling

The downside of the 601/602/603 is that the heads coolant ports were not originally drilled out from factory, This can lead to lack of coolant flow. A combination of this machine work with our coolant modded MLS gasket is a must to keep your engine getting the right flow.

What we do:

I carefully use my jig to mark the correct locations to drill the new coolant ports into the head, I then de-burr the ports and flush the head to clean the shavings.

Requirements:

The head needs to have cams and cam girdle removed, you will also need to clean your head. Perfectly fine to take a pressure washer to it and degreaser. blow dry completely.
